The Type of Plans We Offer
Medicare Supplement Plans
Medicare supplement plans, (aka Medigap plans), are additional insurance policies that cover costs not covered by original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. These plans provide seniors with financial peace of mind by filling the gaps in their Medicare coverage, allowing them to budget for healthcare expenses more effectively- in other words, no surprise medical bills. They also have no network restrictions, providing seniors with comprehensive coverage and greater control over their healthcare needs.
Medicare Advantage Plans
Also known as Part C, these plans are offered by private companies approved by Medicare. They combine hospital, doctor and prescription drug coverage along with some limited dental, vision, and hearing services. Although they often have zero monthly premium, you will be required to pay a copay every time you see a doctor/hospital/tests and have to stay in their network or else have to pay a larger amount out-of-pocket. Another drawback is you will have to shop for plans every year since coverage changes yearly.
Prescription Drug Plans
Medicare Part D prescription plans are standalone insurance policies offered by private companies to help seniors cover the costs of prescription drugs. These plans work alongside original Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans. Seniors can select a plan based on their specific medication needs, and many plans offer tiered coverage options with varying copayments or coinsurance, helping seniors manage their prescription expenses effectively while ensuring access to necessary medications. NOTE: It is important to get coverage at the right time to avoid a Part D late penalty that will stick with you for life.
